Week 8 Progress

 I have completed the survey.

I am happy with my progress. My current schedule is not the same as when I completed the time management assignment during the start of this class. I have had to learn how to readjust schedule to make time to not only finish my work, but have ample time to actually produce quality work. I work a lot and am a full-time student so figuring out a weekly routine has made my life much easier. I think I can do a better job of checking my grades- I realized I may have some missing grades for completed assignments since I joined the class late. It is my responsibility to keep on top of things so I can be better about this. I've completed a few extra credit assignments but I want to do more. I think one major editing tool I can do more is to re-read my stories before publishing. I try to do this, but often times kind of skim. I've started actually re-reading it, pretending I'm the reader. Not only do I find grammar mistakes, but it helps me better make sense of the flow. Some parts may be grammatically correct, but I don't like certain word usage/phrasing.
I enjoy the reading activities the most. I think it is fun to read. As a college student, it is hard finding the time to be able to read, no matter the content. The discussion aspect of our reading notes helps us to share interesting points with each other, which is also fun.

I want to continue to challenge myself. I don't want to fall too much into a routine where I can't be creative and develop myself as a writer. I think I mentioned this in yesterday's post, but maybe messing around with my sites' aesthetics to be more bold. Colors, text spacing, etc.

(A motivational quote I thought is applicable to our course, especially in times of writers block. The image can be sourced here.)
